    July 1, 2023 (11:30AM) – WeSERVE CDC has partnered with Will & Way CEC to bring Personal Development to our WeSERVE Cares Program. WeSERVE Cares will provide support through personal development workshops that can boost confidence, increase confidence and expand connections. This workshop will provide tools and techniques that will enhance ones perspective of their existence and encourage individuals to see life challenges as puzzles, not problems. The workshops will address five areas of personal development: 1) Mental, 2) Social, 3) Spiritual, 4) Emotional, and 5) Physical.

  • K-12 Learning Acceleration Grants – Virginia Residents

    K-12 Learning Acceleration Grants – Virginia Residents This $30 million is specifically for Virginia residents and provides $1,500 grants to parents of school-age children for tutoring in English, mathematics, science and history, as well as foreign languages required to meet diploma requirements. Children from homes with family incomes at 300% or less of the federal poverty level may qualify for $3,000 grants! Sign up immediately as the first $750.00 must be used by August 15, 2023! The $1,500 Grant has three requirements: Reside in Virginia Is of school- age Has not graduated The $3,000 Grant has the above requirements PLUS your household income must at 300% or less of the federal poverty level. (See chart on 2nd slide)  Homeschooled or private school students count as well. WeSERVE partners with the National Capital Region, USDA, Walmart, Food Lion, Costco and other local organizations to distribute tons of food every year to individuals in need. CAFB Funds are provided for procurement of services, equipment, and/or supplies, other than food, that will allow partners to have the greatest impact in their communities by reaching more community members in need of assistance and/or distributing a greater quantity and/or variety of food. Funds are awarded on a competitive basis based on need and expected impact.
